WHAT'S NEW ON THE HORIZON?
TALES OF LOVE, LAUGHTER, AND LIFE
Weaving my creative non-fiction short stories and poetry together, a new work has emerged. Lovely in all respects, at times funny as all get out, and others, profoundly deep, my heartwarming memoir is full of stories about the people who have made my life special. I hope you will be charmed with their grace and beauty, or laugh or cry when their flaws and misadventures are exposed. Divided into eight sections, each with its own emotional tone and theme, we follow the development of their lives much like the fictional characters in a book. Only, these folks are very real. They are the whispers of the memories of my life.
Now, if you add God to the equation, the God we sometimes sort of believe in, and sometimes sort of don't, the story changes. We may then learn what at first seems random, is anything but. That these people and events have far more purpose and meaning than we ever could have conceived. That our relationships are planned, our chance meetings, perhaps not so much. That everything and everyone has a purpose. We just haven't been aware enough to perceive His presence.
On a spiritual quest for a good portion of my adult life, I have been blessed to discover many of the deeply profound aspects of "this God we sort of and sort of don't believe in," and His effects upon my existence. If you open your heart, embedded within many of the stories, you will begin to see the pattern of His influence throughout these tales of love, laughter, and life.
